BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Sombre mood has engulfed the family of Uladi who reside in Mpingwe township, following the loss of two children after a falling -wall fell on them.
According Widson Nhlane, Limbe station police deputy publicist said the incident happened during the night of December 22 this year,when they were fast asleep.
The family’s house is located close to Mpingwe hills.
Nhlane added that the two met their fate when they were fast asleep.
“All of a sudden,due to heavy rains,the supporting rock, close to the house moved and hit the wall which fell on the sleeping children.
“They were rushed to Queen elizabeth central hospital, where medical practioners pronounced them dead upon arrival,” he explains.
The police publicist adds, “Police in advising members of the community members to remove heavy materials or big rocks around their houses to avoid re occurrences of such incidences in this rainy season.
“Dead bodies are being kept at the hospital’s mortuary, waiting for postmortem”.
The family is from Liwonde village, Traditional Authority (T.A) Liwonde Machinga.
