BLANTYRE (Maravi Post)—Students at College of Medicine, a constituent college of the University of Malawi on Thursday impeached their President, Ekari Mathuka, after they established beyond reasonable doubt that he was guilty of embezzling MK 1 Million Kwacha meant for sporting trophy which is sponsored by their Principal.

An emergency general assembly was called on Thursday evening where the no nonsense students at the institution decided to let go of their new President Mathuka. Maravi Post has learnt that Mathuka was elected into office about 60 days ago.

“The constitution is not just a guide book as others may think. It is a book that is above all others, that extends its arms and deals with those that disregard it. Mr Ekari Mathuka is no longer College of Medicine student Union President,” reads part of the memo as released by the Office of the Speaker which presided over the impeachment process at the institution.

Meanwhile, the noble office of the Speaker at the institution will announce dates where the students will have a bye election to elect a new president as guided by their heavily respected constitution.
