BLANTYRE—Flashy Thyolo legislator Charles Mchacha has rejoined the former ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and has since relocated to the opposition benches in the House.

Speaker of the House Henry Chimunth Banda announced Tuesday morning that Mchacha, who dumped the party to join the ruling People’s Party after the sadden death of former president Bingu wa Mutharika, asked his office to allow the speaker to relocate him to the opposition side, which is now in the majority with about 112 law makers against PP government’s 83.
