MZUZU--Heavy rains throughout the week have rendered impassable a part of Blantyre-Zomba road which is currently under construction.
Since Friday buses and minibuses have been exchanging passengers at Njuli. In some cases, passengers have to walk 2 km to board a bus.
In an interview with Zodiak radio, Roads Authority spokesperson Portia Kajanga said motorists should for now use Zalewa road.
“There is nothing we can do as of now, it’s an issue of weather, so we can’t say when the rains will stop,” she said.
