LILONGWE--Super League of Malawi (Sulom) has rescheduled the TNM Super League match involving Blantyre United and Epac for Saturday, February 23, 2013 and the shifted match involving Blantyre United and Azam Tigers from February 23 to Friday, February 22.
Blantyre United were scheduled to host Epac at Kalulu Stadium in Nchalo on Sunday, February 18, 2013 but the game was postponed due to a heavy downpour that rendered the ground in Nchalo unplayable.
Initially, Sulom wanted the game rescheduled for Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Kamuzu Stadium but Epac complained they could not make it back to the south barely three days after facing Big Bullets at Kamuzu Stadium.
The game has since been rescheduled for this coming Saturday, the day Blantyre United were expected to meet Tigers. The Tigers/Epac clash will now take place Friday at Kamuzu Stadium with United and Epac meeting at the same venue the next day.
Blantyre United need just two points from the games against Tigers and Epac to secure the third position while Tigers and Epac need the three points to dislodge Moyale Barracks from the eighth position.
In other league fixtures, Mighty Wanderers will line up against Mafco at Chitowe Stadium on Saturday before facing Silver Strikers at Civo Stadium on Sunday. Big Bullets will take on Red Lions at Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday.
