Blantyre, May 13 2016—Premier mobile service provider TNM has donated K0.5 Million to Toastmasters International as contribution towards this year’s Toastmasters District Conference underway in Midrand, South Africa.

Toastmasters District Conference is a biannual event where leaders of Toastmasters Clubs are trained and share experiences on how to help club members develop their public speaking skills and leadership potential.

Speaking during the cheque presentation, TNM’s Marketing Manager Madalitso Jonazi said TNM felt obliged to partner with the organisation in ensuring effective communication skills in the country.

“As a local company in the communication industry TNM believes in effective communication at all levels and Toastmasters programs in Malawi have helped many people to become effective communicators and better leaders in their organisations as well as society at large hence complementing our objectives,” said Jonazi.

Receiving the donation Area Director of Toastmasters in Malawi Soustain Chigalu thanked TNM for the support towards the conference.

“I would like to thank TNM for this supports which will go a long way in developing toastmasters leadership in Malawi. TNM is really a true partner,” said Chigalu.

Toastmasters in Malawi is being represented at the conference by Soustain Chigalu – Area Director for Malawi, Clarence Gama – Area Director Elect for Malawi and James Chiumia, International Speech Contestant.
