BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The 2025 Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations have commenced, with Minister of Basic and Secondary Education, Madalitso Kambauwa Wirima, urging candidates to uphold integrity and adhere to examination regulations.
Speaking at the Ministry of Education Headquarters on June 30, 2025, Minister Wirima emphasized the importance of transparency, equity, and accountability in the examination process.
Wirima warned that disciplinary and legal measures would be taken against individuals found breaching examination regulations, including acts of vandalism, intimidation, or interference.
She stressed that the MSCE examinations are a national exercise that reflects Malawi’s development aspirations, and urged the nation to demonstrate unity, diligence, and shared responsibility in delivering a credible examination process.
Minister Wirima wished the candidates well, reminding them that their integrity and performance would lay the foundation for their future success and contribution to the nation’s development.
The 2025 MSCE examinations will run until July 26, and it is expected that candidates will adhere to the rules and regulations governing the examination process.
Minister Wirima is encouraging candidates to take ownership of their academic achievements and to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in a fair and honest manner.
A total of 202,940 candidates are registered to sit for the 2025 Malawi School Certificate of Education examinations, comprising 97,489 females and 105,451 males.
