LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)– A South African Music Group comprised of Malawian up and coming artists known as 20Mudbs will hold its first ever music award on May 2, 2020 at Claremont Civic Centre Hall in Capetown aimed at encouraging artists for their good works.

The award ceremony will honor some of the best artistic works done locally which would involve various categories such as best gospel artist, best male artist, bet female artist, best producer, best collaboration, best promoter, best emcee, among others.

20Mudbs organizer, who is representing Wex rappers entertainment, Robert Chirwa said due to how people welcomed a pre-award event made them to plan for a bigger award ceremony.

“We are very eager for this day because all we want is to encourage these artists to keep doing a good job as you know we stay far and apart from most music activities happening in our country Malawi.

“So we thought it wise to introduce this award as recognition of these achievements and to let our fellow artists though we are here in a foreign nation but we want to prove that we can do much better. Malawi has a dope vibrant hard working talented artists,” Chirwa Said.

He said: “We are done with nominations and I believe by Sunday nominated list will be released according to the votes.

“We just pray to our Almighty God to protect us from this coronavirus because this might be our major challenge if it continues terrorizing our globe,” Chirwa said.

The award ceremony will however be spiced up with different performances such music performances by various artists like Lipy-G, Black Star, Kwin B, among others, comedies, rap battles plus the red carpet photoshoot.

Winners will be given grand prizes of monies and trophies.
