#Malawi fesh polls: Rumphi East lawmaker Kamlepo Kalua’s son Fred arrested for handouts to voters

RUMPHI-(MaraviPost)-The Malawi Defence Force solders are arrested Fred Kalua, and two others at Chiweta in Rumphi for allegedly issuing handouts to prospective voters.

Fred, son to Rumphi East lawmaker Kamlepo Kalua and his two friends have since been taken to Chitimba police for questioning.

Fred who is Malawian musician popularly known as Fredokiss.

In an interview with Nation online, Kamlepo Kalua said he could not confirm or deny the matter, as he was following up on the same.

Kalua is Democratic Progress Party (DPP) lawmaker.

Malawians are voting today in fresh presidential elections following February 3, 2020’s ConCourt nullification of May 21, 2019 polls.
