LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Emerging reality in the multi-billion Kwacha duty free imported cement surrounding the court pending hearing of Norman Chisale who was presidential aide to former Malawi President Peter Mutharika puts at bay business agent Shafee Chunara with a clear indication that he was not part and parcel of the alleged scandal.
Documents from Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) clears Chunara of any trace of malpractice in his professional discharge of service as an international cement agent.
According to our findings to that effect, we can ably reveal that Chunara, who was recently interrogated by police to provide information about his role in the business, did not in any way implicate Norman Chisale but only provided truthful information that hovers around his innocence that he was not part of the duty free process.
Key in Chunara’s information, which is free of any dot of implicating anyone was the plain truth, that it was Norman Chisale, who acted as the state house front runner and the man who used to pay money for the service rendered.
The MRA documentation therefore clears and vindicates Chunara from any wrong doing as he remained professional to end by not playing a role in the clearing process hence the duty free status.
Taxi money amounting to MK5 billion is calculated to have been lost in the duty free usage of facility through using the former leader President Peter Mutharika’s TPIN.
Chisale was arrested on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 for money laundering and fraud that on Friday was again arrested for attempted murder to a Blantyre lady.
