Blantyre, January 9: Chairperson for the African International Church(AIC) choir known as Mpasuka Tamandani Voices, Pilirani Chitabwino, has said their album ‘Ndilanditseni’ is not getting the much needed publicity due to lack of promoters.
Speaking to Media on Wednesday, she said they believe the album was good enough to compete on the market but lacked promotion.
“We took time before completing recording all the songs and we believe we did a good job in both the instruments and the message we intend to send to the nation which is God speaking to us today through this music and other means, lets us take heed and mind our ways and pray so that he saves us,” explained Chitabwino.
Despite such shortfalls, she said they were looking forward to shooting a DVD.
“We are not discouraged by these shortfalls in fact we are preparing to start shooting a DVD of all the songs in the album.
What we are trying to do first of all is to source some funds from well wishers because a DVD is costly and there is a lot required so we are taking our time so that we produce worthwhile videos that will touch people`s lives,” Chitabwino said.
According to Chitabwino, it is now close to a year since the album was released and some tracks in the album are Anzeru akum’mawa, Nzeru, Ndilanditseni, Chisomo, Poyenda ndi Yesu, and Sitisiyana. It was recorded at Bengo Studios in Chileka.
