LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Extreme FC and Airborne Rangers continue doing well in group A and C of the 2022 MK15.5 million Chipiku Stores Premier division league as they both maintained their 100 percent good start of the season.
Malawi Defence Force side based in Salima at Parachute Battalion slaughtered their fellow Soldiers from Support Battalion in Mvera Dowa by 3-1 with sharp bayonets in what was tamed soldiers’ derby on Saturday at MAFCO ground.

Goals from Raymond Yawali (brace) and Chimwemwe Mhone made the Rangers continue flying high in the air with their parachutes while Ernest Kasitomu scored the consolation goal for Support Battalion who lacked marksmanship in both halves despite displaying good passing game here and there while for the Rangers they used their weapons well,and they shot three bulls.
Waliranji based side Extreme FC who are the 2021 runners up punished Play Football Malawi by 2-0 at Dimba ground in Kapiri-Mchinji, Beston Jimu scored both goals.
The wins means both Extreme and Airborne Rangers lead their groups with 15 points each from 5 games earning them automatic qualification for the round of 16.
At Nsaru ground it was a joyance day for Millias Pofera Jegwe’s LUANAR FC after collecting three points on the table with 2 goals as Kasungu Police did not show up, the Students now have 4 points from 5 games.
Head Coach Pofera Jegwe said it is a morale booster to collect the vital points though on the table, saying this coming weekend will have a full squad as students have finished taking their examinations.
Kamuzu Barracks RSV FC also corrected their first maximum points after defeating Silver Strikers Reserve by 2-1 at Kamuzu Barracks ground, Steve Unyolo,Marshall Maluwa scored for the Young Soldiers while substitute Gift Chidawati scored for the Young Bankers in a game which was too physical and marred with tempers.The win means the Chiooko boys have now 6 points from 5 games.
At Ntchisi ground Ngwanje FC defeated area 36 based side Kawinga FC by a 1-0 margin,their first defeat of the season in 4 games.Experienced Mude Jeffrey scored the lone goal through a penalty.
Mkanda Youth were 2-1 victors over Dedza Young Soccer at Mchinji community ground. Blessings Natulu,Rahim Mtendera scored for Mkanda while Owen Yuweya scored for Young Soccer.
St Gabriel Medicals humbled the debutants Panthers FC by 2-0 at Malili ground, Nelson Saplata and Anderson Banda were on target for St Gabriel Medicals.
The win have seen the Namitete based side collecting 9 points from 5 games and moved on second place dislodging Dwangwa United who have 8 points and play on Sunday, May 15,2022.
