Amidst Food shortages MCP, PP to rally in support of failed amateur coup plotters

The country’s losing Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and Peoples Party with its leader in self-exile have found a cause to unite for. The two parties in search of heroes have decided in the failed amateur coup plotters as their cause célèbre.

The leadership of the two parties Lazarus Chakwera and his new found friend acting leader of the Peoples Party are committed to support WhatsApp group members who were planning to overthrow President Peter Mutharika’s government.

MCP president Lazarus Chakwera who just returned from a secret money begging and consulting trip with American advisors in the US, declared that he cannot sit by and let the coup plotters face the Music alone.

Chakwera declared that ‘We are behind them’, meaning the amateur Coup plotters.

In the midst of looming hunger, Free Falling Kwacha, Electricity blackouts and water shortages in all major cities in the country, The Cause that he has prioritized is to stand by amateur coup plotters.

The Malawi Police Service arrested the party’s spokesperson Jessie Kabwira, member Ulemu Msungama, and Member of Parliament Lewis Chakhwantha after someone leaked their WhatsApp chats which involved some in the Diaspora trying ways to cause chaos in the country and destabilize the Peter Mutharika Government.

Of everything that ails Malawi currently leader Chakwera sees this as a cause célèbre. He is willing to risk it all in support malcontents.

Chakwera continues to condemn the arrests as unlawful since they were coming from Parliament. He however fails to see the seriousness and selfishness of these amateurs that would plot to put many Malawians in danger.

Chakwera further said the party will always deliver to the expectations of all Malawians whom he said are suffering from hunger and economic hardships the country is experiencing. Wonder how he does that by honoring these amateur coup plotters.
