Ansah conveys Mutharika’s gratitude, assures continued food relief with inclusive development

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Vice President Jane Ansah has expressed heartfelt appreciation to the people of the Eastern Region for their overwhelming support during the September 16, 2025 General Election.

Ansah delivered the message during a rally held at St. Augustine 2 Primary School Ground, where thousands gathered to meet the country’s newly sworn-in Vice President.

She said she attended the event on behalf of President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, who requested her to personally thank the people of the region for the strong vote of confidence they showed in his leadership.

She emphasized that President Mutharika is deeply grateful for the trust placed in him by Malawians from all corners of the country.

She further noted that the President holds a special appreciation for the Eastern Region, which delivered exceptional support to the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).

Ansah said it was important for her to deliver the President’s message of “ZIKOMO KWAMBIRI” directly to the people.

The Vice President also conveyed President Mutharika’s assurance that no Malawian will die of hunger under his administration.

She revealed that the President has already begun distributing maize to families affected by hunger across the nation.

She added that the food relief programme will continue until every household facing hunger is reached.

Ansah reaffirmed that the DPP-led government is committed to delivering meaningful development to the Eastern Region.

She said her office will work tirelessly to ensure improved livelihoods, expanded opportunities, and inclusive growth for all citizens.

She praised the people of the Eastern Region for their trust, energy, and unwavering support during and after the elections.

Ansah concluded her address by expressing gratitude on behalf of the President, the government, and the DPP leadership.
