LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Mitundu Baptist FC has received a significant morale and financial boost ahead of its debut season in the top flight league after sealing a sponsorship deal with BCA Travel and Tours.
The partnership is designed to reward excellence and consistency with players set to benefit directly from performance based incentives throughout the campaign.
Under the agreement, BCA Travel and Tours will award K50,000 to the Man of the Match in each of the 30 league fixtures Mitundu Baptist FC is expected to play in 2026/27season.
In addition to matchday rewards, the sponsor will also recognize monthly brilliance by giving K100,000 to the club’s best performing player every month.
The incentives do not end there, as outstanding performances over the entire season will be celebrated at the close of the league.
BCA Travel and Tours will dish out MK200,000 prizes to five top achievers, including the Player of the Season, Best Defender, Best Young Player, Best Goalkeeper and the league’s Top Goal Scorer from the club.
Beyond individual rewards, the company has committed MK1.5 million towards the purchase of essential playing and training equipment for the team.
The support is expected to improve training standards and overall preparedness as the club navigates the demands of elite football.
One of the club’s senior officials, Edgar Chipalanjira, signed the agreement on behalf of Mitundu Baptist FC.The deal, which was sealed on Wednesday, is set to run for one year, covering the entire league season.
Team officials believe the sponsorship will motivate players to push harder, knowing that strong performances will be recognized both on and off the pitch.
Mitundu Baptist FC sees the partnership as a statement of intent, signaling the club’s ambition to compete strongly in the top league.
