BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-A mammoth crowd gathered at Kameza Roundabout in Blantyre, and many more others lined up along the street to get a glimpse of President Lazarus Chakwera as he majestically made his way into the city on Monday evening.
Clad in party colours, the crowd was kept on their knees singing various songs of praise for President Chakwera.
The Malawi leader, who arrived in Blantyre through Chileka International Airport, will be in Blantyre for a number of days, where he is expected to perform a number of official engagements.
He was welcomed on arrival by several top government officials that included Minister of Water and Sanitation Abida Mia, Minister of Local Government Unity and Culture Richard Chimwendo Banda, Chiefs, and business tycoons, among many others.
Chakwera will be in Blantyre for a week for another of official duties as Head of State and Government
