Blantyre’s Ndilande Youth Clean Group up for sanitation

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The Ndirande Youth Clean group has called on fellow counterparts in the township and nationwide to take up the challenge of keeping environment clean as a mandatory exercise as one way of showing patriotism to the nation.

Chairperson for Ndirande clean group Ganizani Ofesi said this during an activity of cleaning Ndirande township of Blantyre.

Ganizani Ofesi said he borrowed a leaf from President Lazarus Chakwera and his Vice President Saulos Chilima when they officially launched ‘keep clean campaign’every fortnight nationwide.

“We are young patrotic and energetic Malawians so we need to emulate good examples our leaders demonstrate and we live up with it like keeping clean our locations we live hence prevent problems like waterborn diseases such as cholera which affect our lives”Ofesi elaborated.

“In this vein l mobilized my fellow youth here in Ndirande to join hands our leaders’ initiative through embarking on cleaning our area.Additionally, l should urge my fellow youth to follow suite and form youth groups meant for among their objectives,keeping environment clean as the word goes,tidiness is next to godliness” Ganizani adds.

“In fact ,groups of youth like this one ,lack resources to carry out different activities in our different localities so l should plead with well wishers to come in and support our groupings materially or financially so that we effectively implement our goals,” the leader explained.

Meanwhile Ndirande Youth Clean group leader disclosed that he has organised a football Bonanza worthy K150,000.00 with the sole objective of keeping youth of the township active and busy so that they refrain from dubious behaviours.

Teams earmarked for the’ Baby G Bonanza’ which will run for three weeks are as follows ; Eagles Beaks, Jesus Ambassodrs, St Judy Academy,Buffalo FC, Majiga Barracks FC, FC Juvente,Ndalama Sporting, Revolution FC and Asena FC.
