Bon Kalindo, popularly known for his activism and political commentary, took to his Facebook page, “Team Bon Kalindo the DC,” to raise concerns about the potential arrest of businessman Norman Chisare. According to Kalindo, the government under the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) is allegedly planning to arrest Chisare without any substantial reason.
In his post, Kalindo suggests that the arrest stems from Chisare’s involvement in a meeting held in Lilongwe the previous night. Kalindo’s post paints a picture of political maneuvering, claiming that the authorities are targeting Chisare due to his influence and stature.

Kalindo emphasizes that Chisare is a highly respected figure, and due to his prominence, the authorities allegedly cannot touch him directly. As a result, Kalindo asserts that the government is attempting to intimidate Chisare by using law enforcement to monitor and possibly harass him.
The post has sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many users questioning the motivations behind the alleged actions of the MCP government. As the situation unfolds, many are waiting to see how the authorities will respond to these allegations, which touch on the broader issue of political freedom and the role of the state in targeting opposition figures and influential personalities.
Bon Kalindo has often been vocal about issues related to political oppression and human rights in Malawi. His latest post has once again put the spotlight on the tension between the government and those seen as dissenters or influential figures outside the ruling party’s inner circle.
The public awaits further developments in the case of Norman Chisare, as calls for transparency and justice continue to grow.
