Bullets hire former Malawi FA GS as new Chief Executive Officer

Nyasa Big Bullets have appointed former Football Association of Malawi (FAM) General Secretary, Suzgo Nyirenda as its Chief Executive Officer effective 1st May 2021.

Nyirenda, a well-known and experienced football administrator, has replaced Escort Chinula.

Nyirenda joins the People’s Team after serving as the Deputy General Secretary and Competition Manager for Council of Southern Africa Football Association (Cosafa) and was based in South Africa.

He served as FAM GS between 2010 and 2016 before trekking to South Africa.

Late last year, he said he his decision to return home was aimed at helping improve local club’s management.

“Having been a member of CAF Club Licensing Committee for over four years, I learnt quite a lot regarding club management, and I travelled to a number of countries to see how clubs are managed, including the flagship league.

“It is this knowledge that one day I want to share with my countrymen in developing our leagues. Moreover, as one of the seasoned administrators, I want to continue imparting knowledge to our affiliates as well as those interested to pursue career in sports management,” he was quoted as saying in one the local daily papers.
