LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Former Nyasaqueens leader well known as Nyasacandy whose real name is Alice Mtanga has now ventured into the Dj industry with the new name AMtanga the Dj.
Nyasacandy is currently practicing her DJ skills with DJ Hugo from Dzaleka but the grouping has stayed out of the music industry for the past five years.
The Nyasaqueens stormed the country with Uisova hit in 2013 and shut them down in 2014
The Dancehall and hip-hop group appear in some of the well-known artist’s songs collaboration of Gwamba, Matse, and Malinga in the well-known hit called Zimuvuta.
The Lilongwe-based Dj will be going by the name of AMtanga the Dj is expected to start performing his new career next month.
The grouping drop their last love song in 2019 in the name of “Iwe Wekha”
AMtanga the Dj is one of the Malawi Institute of Journalism (MIJ)’s students and is expected to address the media soon on the change of her career.
