President Lazarus Chakwera’s Tonse Alliance administration must do a right thing than being defensive for nothing while craving for successes for 2025 polls ride.
In a devastating scenario, going by the current state of affairs in the two Affordable Inputs Program (AIP) fertilizer deals that Malawi government is rocked into, Malawi is bound to make a greatest mistake that will be regretted forever.
The contracts that have been exposed signals a tragedy for the country in which three separate Government entities responsible for vetting such contracts have distanced themselves since they were not involved.
Obviously, proceeding with these contracts with a Pharmaceutical Company, and an Oil and Fisheries Company will brow over half a trillion Malawi Kwacha and leave Malawi I deep hunger and starvation.
Why cancel the contracts now?
- All the three contracts were signed by Malawians meaning the Companies belong to Malawians not either Romania Citizens or Namibians Citizens.
- No Government controlling agencies like ACB, PPDA, and Government Contracting Unit gave a go ahead in the Deals
- The two Ministers involve Sosten Gwengwe and Sam Kawale Lied to Malawians about the companies, No one visited Romania, they have no idea where it exist, if the company is real of a Ghost.
- None of the two Companies has production Unit of Fertilizer
- Both Companies and all the deals in this AIP SCAM were Registered in 2018 in different countries proving that its a syndicate of Fraudsters.
- Butter Trade signed is not logic as it will result into Malawi Buying Soya, Beans, Maize, GNuts… At expensive prices and export them and make the Companies make a fortune.
- Malawi will loose over 700 Billion Malawi Kwacha in the Deals which is over 25% of Malawi’s National Budget.
- The Scammers will not invest in the program any money. They have/will use the Sovereign Guarantee to access Loans from the Banks to buy the fertilizer of which Malawi will be responsible.
- Malawi is already producing in deficit, and any agreement in exchange of the little production is suicidal to the Country’s Economy.
Lastly, these deals will only make Malawians poor and very poorer with no food left since all our hard earned produced commodities will be exported with no gain
This is a total Fraud, a SCAM of highest order and these Deals needs to be cancelled now.
Malawi is not ready to face this Cyclone again, man made by these greedy, selfish inhuman people who are only concerned with their stomach and pockets willing to sacrifice every Malawian for their own benefit
Let us all Malawians rise up against this impunity
These deals must not proceed, it will just make those involve steal our hard earned produce.
