Rev Chimwemwe Mhango who was booted out from Kanengo CCAP Church pastor on Sunday launched his church in Lilongwe named the Redeemed Presbyterian Church (RPC).

The Church which its headquarters will be in Lilongwe has almost 3000 followers and currently has branches in Salima, Dowa and Karonga districts.
Speaking during the function, Mhango told journalists that his new Church will continue operating despite having it embroiled in a court case.
“We cannot wait for the court case, what we have decided is to look forward and forget the past,” said Mhango.
RPC secretary general Andiwake Mwakasungula said the Church will have its branches in all the districts in the country.
“Our long term plan is to make sure that our Church branches to all districts, as of now we are just in few districts,” said Mwakasungula.
Kanengo CCAP Church is under the Livingstonia Synod.
Rev Mhango who is also a renowned gospel musician was booted out from Kanengo CCAP Church after he vehemently refused to be transferred from Lilongwe to Euthini in Mzimba district.
