LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Central Region Football Association chairperson Austin Biton Ajawa says is still keeping the promises he made in his manifesto’s during the campaign.

Among the promises Ajawa made was to introduce leagues and bonanzas in Central region districts, Training referees and coaches and among others.

On district leagues the CRFA chair says is just waiting for the government to give a go a head as there are restrictions of gatherings due to Covid-19 which he said on district level can be hard to control the crowd wanting to watch the games.

“As soon as government soften the restrictions the leagues will kick off”, he said.

Referee’s and coaches trainings will start soon in the districts as these does not require many people gathering together on one place.

Meanwhile Ajawa has hailed the Sponsors Chipiku Stores for maintaining their sponsorship saying with the COVID-19 impacts on businesses many have stopped sponsoring sporting activities.

He has since appealed to the teams playing in the league to refrain from Hooliganism which can tarnish the image of the league and the name of the sponsors.

Ajawa returned his position in a controversial elections which saw Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), FAM intervening after his vice Chair,Simeon Lijeje and Owen Munthali challenged the process.
