LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Central Region Netball Committee (CRNC) is satisfied with the progress of the MK24 million MPICO Gateway Mall 2023 netball league after week number four games which were played at Mpico Gateway Mall and Blue Eagles Netball courts in the capital Lilongwe on Saturday.

The committee’s Vice Secretary General Daniel Chigowo Nyirenda revealed this on Saturday saying the league has started on a high note with all teams showing highly spirited performance.

“We are impressed with the progress so far as teams are fighting for their money in each and every game they are playing. Sometimes we are witnessing heavy defeats yes but that doesn’t mean other teams are weak but rather differ in technical approach.

“The return of the league excites us as Central region netball committee and teams as now our girls in the region will be busy week in and week out,” he said.

Nyirenda added, “This will benefit the region and Malawi as a country in scouting and nurturing new talent for the national team. As Central Region Committee we will make sure to patronize the league with zeal and professionalism.

“We safeguard the sponsorship and with the coming in of our Chairperson Cecilia Mtukule from official duties outside the country we are now a full house hence we will be guiding each other”.
