NTCHISI-(MANA)-President Lazarus Chakwera, has assured the people of Nthisi North that the road infrastructure project from Ntchisi to Dzaleka will continue to receive attention and funding.
Chakwera made the remarks on Tuesday at Malomo during his whistle stop tour ahead of September 16 general election.
He reaffirmed his governments commitment to infrastructure development in the country.
“We are committed to improving the road network in Ntchisi North, and the road project from Ntchisi to Dzaleka is a testament
“We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that this project is completed, and the people of this area can benefit from better infrastructure,” he said.
Chakwera has also urged the people of Ntchisi North to vote for him and the member of parliament in the area, emphasizing that continued support would be crucial for further development initiative in the area.
“If you want to see more development in this area, I urge you to vote for me: we have made significant progress, but there is still much work to be done, and with your support, we can accelerate development and bring more benefits to our people”, he said.
The President added that his government is dedicated to bring development to every corner of Malawi.
Senior chief Chiloko of the area has assured President Chakwera that people in the area will vote for him so that he should continue with more development initiative in the area.
Chiloko also called for continuity of the road infrastructure development project from Ntchisi to Dzaleka, emphasizing the importance of completing this project to improve connectivity and facilitate economic growth in the area.
“This road is crucial for our economic growth and development; we appeal to the government to continue working on this project so that we can have better roads and improved connectivity,” he said.
Meanwhile Malawi Congress Party (MCP) shadow Member of Parliament for Ntchisi North, Arnold Chidzanja, has expressed gratitude to President Chakwera for the development initiatives that have been undertaken in the area.
“We are grateful to President Chakwera for the development initiative that have been brought to this area; the construction of schools, police houses, and road has made a huge difference in our community” he said.
Chidzanja also appealed for fertilizer support for local farmers, emphasizing the importance of supporting the agricultural sector, which is the backbone of the local economy.
“We also need support for our farmers, fertilizer is essential for our farmers to increase their crop yields and improve their livehoods.
“We appeal to the government to provide fertiliser support to our farmers so that they can continue to produce food for our communities,” he said.
