BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-President Lazarus Chakwera and First Lady Madame Monica Chakwera on Sunday joined the congregation at Kanjedza First Assembly in Blantyre for a worship service, where the President delivered a message of positivity, heroism, courage, and valor.
Chakwera urged the congregation to stop living in denial and to have faith in God, saying that although the country is facing challenges, significant progress is taking place.
“Today, your theme of embracing a different spirit has touched me deeply, for that is precisely what our campaign is calling on Malawians to do.
The Malawi leader therefore urged the church in Malawi to continue praying for the country, stressing the need to spread messages of positivity for the sake of building Malawi for better living standard of citizens.
“As much as we value taking our message directly to the people, we know that how that message is received is a work of grace, because there is a spirit of confusion, fear, and bitterness that is spreading in the land to make the people hopeless and unreceptive to any good news,” he noted
In his sermon, based on Hebrews 11, Rev. Charles Makata of Kanjedza First Assembly encouraged the congregation to have faith in God, citing Joshua and Caleb as examples of heroes whose faith and obedience led them to triumph.
He also thanked the President and First Lady for choosing to worship at Kanjedza First Assembly, saying Chakwera is regarded as their High Priest.
