LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Incumbent Lazarus Chakwera has conceded defeat and has wished former leader Arthur Peter Mutharika for convincing victory in the 2025 General elections.
Addressing the nation at Kamuzu Palace in the capital Lilongwe, Chakwera said he has also congratulated Mutharika for the convincing victory.
The outgoing Malawi leader also lauded Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) for running polls diligently.
Chakwera therefore assured the nation that there will be proper transition of power.
