LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-President Lazarus Chakwera on Friday, March 22, 2024 will leave for Zambia to attend Extraordinary Southern African Development Community (SADC) Summit.
The SADC Summit meeting is expected to start on March 23 in Zambia’s capital Lusaka.
In press statement from Foreign Affairs Ministry says President Chakwera will leave for Zambia through Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) in the capital Lilongwe on Friday afternoon.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to inform the general public that His Excellency Dr Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, President of the Republic of Malawi, will attend the Extraordinary Summit Meeting of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) scheduled to take place in Lusaka, the Republic of Zambia, on 23rd March, 2024.
“The aircraft carrying His Excellency the President is expected to depart Kamuzu International Airport on Friday, 22nd March, 2024, at 14:00 hours. He is expected to retum home through the same airport on Saturday, 23rd March, 2024, at 17:30 hours,” reads Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement.
