LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-On Thursday, April 11, 2024, President Lazarus Chakwera met the Zimbabwean delegation, reaffirming his commitment to strengthen the ties between Malawi and Zimbabwe.
Speaking during the audience with the delegation at Sanjika Palace in the commercial city of Blantyre, Chakwera said Zimbabwe and Malawi are working hard to open up opportunities in the areas of Agriculture, Tourism, Mining, and manufacturing, among others, stressing that the two nations are one and need to prosper together.
“We have signed a number of Memorandum of Understandings which will enable people of our two countries to benefit”, said President Chakwera.
On his part, Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage in Zimbabwe, Raymond Kazembe Kazembe said, his government is always ready to work with the government of Malawi in various sectors for the betterment of the two nations.
The delegation from Zimbabwe is in the country for official duties on behalf of their government.
