LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-President Lazarus Chakwera happily returned to the capital Lilongwe from Blantyre on Friday afternoon, January 17, 2025.
Chakwera had been in Blantyre since January 14th to take part in the commemoration of Chilembwe Day, which was celebrated on January 15th, 2025, at Mbombwe, Providence Industrial Mission in the Chiradzulo district.
At Chileka Airport, he was seen off by notable figures including the Minister of Information,Moses Kunkuyu, senior chiefs, and prominent Malawi Congress Party (MCP) leaders from the Southern Region.
Upon his arrival at Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe, he received a warm welcome from the Minister of Health,Khumbize Kandodo-Chiponda, MCP Chairperson for the Centre, Chilondola, along with top government officials and other senior MCP leaders from the Central Region.
