Geresomu also said the event focuses on empowering the Chewa people to participate in the National economy and live peacefully with other ethnic groups.
He added that the meeting also seeks to offer all Chewa people and other heritage groups an opportunity to interact with each other while enjoying a variety of Chewa traditional dances and dishes.
He said the resources for the function have been mobilized by the chiefs and their people from their respective areas.
CHEFO therefore appeals to all well-wishers to contribute whatever they can manage to help the heritage meet the targeted amount.
He therefore said the event will also receive delegates from Zambia who will represent Karonga Gawa Undi and various dignitaries, companies, and individual support.
