BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Alliance for Democracy (AFORD ) Member of Parliament (MP ) for Mzimba North from the Alliance for Democracy, has been granted bail by Principal Resident Magistrate Clemence Chamwenda in Mzuzu.
Chihana faces charges of abuse of office and failure to declare interest in the Constituency Development Fund(CDF).
His bail conditions include a cash bond of K1 million and a non-cash bond of K10 million, secured by one surety.
The legislator has also been told to report to the Anti-Corruption Bureau(ACB) offices in Lilongwe every fortnight.
Chihana is yet to enter a plea, pending the arrival of other suspects from M’mbelwa District Council.
