LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Malawi Vice President Saulos Chilima on Monday, March 7, 2022 engaged Lilongwe city and Lilongwe district councils on reform program regarding developments.
Chilima toured Kauma bridge in Alfred Jiya constituency,Nsalu and Mpingwi cooperatives on Monday.
Chilima said the bridge as well as cooperatives will help peoples livelihood as members of the communities will benefit.

The veep said cooperatives will help to create jobs helping government to meet the target of job creation.
He said his office will embark on visiting all local councils to follow up on the reforms.
In his remarks Mayor for Lilongwe City,Richard Banda urged the Veep to intervene by urging the Public Procurement Disposal Assets (PPDA) to adhere to their call in time to help the council manage the developmental challenges
Banda said Lilongwe council differs a lot with Blantyre city council as the PPDA of the commercial city adhere to their council fast .
Lilongwe is one of the city with bad road network regardless of being the capital city.
