LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-As games in Chipiku Stores Premier division for the first round approach towards the end group A has become tough for Extreme FC as the league is seen slowly corroding.
The group A is also considered as a group of death in the competition.

The Waliranji based side are yet to win the match since the inception of the second sets of the first round which have seen them equaling power in three games against LUANAR 1-1,Kasungu Police FC 2-2,Mkanda Youth 1-1 and lost to Dedza Young Soccer 1-0.
Extreme FC has now dropped from position one to two with 20 points from 11 games.Play Football Malawi now lead the group A log table on better goal difference as they have 20 points from the same number of games.
However despite being displaced on the summit, Extreme FC are assured of second round qualification with three games to wind up the first round. Chifuniro Chimkokomo, assistant coach, acknowledged the form has really dropped in the league.
“Indeed our league form has dropped. I think it is because we are in FDH Bank cup which our boys are currently focusing, we are in the quarterfinals of the cup. If we win against Changalume Barracks definitely history will be written. But still we will come back and win the remaining games”, Chimkokomo said.
The 2021 Chipiku Stores Premier division runners up defeated Kadona Stars at Bingu National Stadium fortnight ago to reach the quarterfinals of the MK90 million prestigious FDH Bank Pachema Cup.
Meanwhile the Flying Lions of Parachute Battalion, Airborne Rangers FC, dropped first points in the league for the first time in 10 games as they equalled power with their rivals Support Battalion FC 1-1 last week.
The Soldiers still lead group C with 28 points while second placed Villa FC from Mchinji have 18 points from 11 games.
The Salima based Soldiers vowed to recover from the draw they made against Support as they travel to Kasungu to meet Wimbe United FC on Sunday.
Madalo Mkwate, the General Secretary of the club, said the draw came in after staying many weeks without playing games as their game against Support was several times postponed by Central Region Football Association (CRFA) hence the legs of the players became rusty.
He added playing fellow Soldiers, Support Battalion, whom they defeated in the first sets of games was foreseen to be difficult.
“We are in a mission of returning to the elite league,as Airborne Rangers FC we will maintain our good form until the end of the league,it’s sad we dropped points as we were looking forward to keep our 100% record, we will recover against Wimbe United though it’s an away fixture “, says Mkwate.
In group B,Dwangwa United FC, Silver Strikers Reserve, Mbabvi United FC and St Gabriel Medicals will be assured to finish as top four teams if they keep their good form as they have 21,20, 19,19 points respectively.
The first round of the 2022 MK15.5 million Chipiku Stores Premier division league is anticipated to wrap up in September with four top teams from the three groups qualifying to the second round of the competition.
