MWANZA-(MaraviPost)-On Tuesday, February 23, 2023, a minor died on while three others sustained serious injuries in Malawi’s boarder district of Mwanza after a house wall fell on them as they were passing by.
Mwanza Police Public Relations Officer Edwin Kaunda told The Maravi Post that on the fateful day, the four kids were going to Mwanza Market to buy freezes.
“Due to heavy rains, the wall of the house they were passing by fell on them and some well wishers rescued them before taking them to Mwanza District Hospital.
“One of them, a 3-year-old girl was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. Postmortem results indicate that death is due to severe head injuries,” says Kaunda.
Meanwhile, the other three have been admitted to the facility.
