CRFA Committee’ performance impresses Chipiku Stores

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Sponsors of Central Region football league Chipiku Stores have been impressed with the way CRFA Committee led by Austin Biton Ajawa has ran the 2020/2021 season.

The sentiments were made by Chipiku Stores Regional Manager, Dennis Kamnyamata, at Mountain View Lodge in Dedza District on 21st December, 2021 where CRFA was conducting prize presentations to teams and individuals who have performed extremely well in the Premier division and Division one Leagues.

Kamnyamata said,as sponsors are convinced with the way the committee has ran the affairs in the just ended season despite few hiccups which were encountered.

He then announced the K1 million Sponsorship increment meaning from next year Chipiku League will move from the current MK14.5 million to MK15.5 million.

He added that Chipiku believes in uplifting the lives of the youths through Sports hence the increase in Sponsorship package despite the hardships which has hit their company hard due to Covid-19 impact.

Yohane Bilesi, Dedza District Council Director of Administration, who represented the District Commissioner as a guest of honor described the event as a colorful one which came as a surprise hence hailed Chipiku Stores for the event.

Bilesi also applauded CRFA for the job well done. Bilesi advised Dedza Dynamos who are the Chipiku Premier Division Champions to beef up their squad ahead of TNM Superleague journey.

Antonio Sanchez Manda, CRFA Vice general Secretary, was a happy person that they have finally finalised everything concerning the 2020/2021 season saying it has been a good journey with few cases unlike in previous years where tcases of hooliganism, fracas and violence could be recorded.

Manda was very excited upon hearing about MK1 million Sponsorship increment saying the relationship with Chipiku Stores is still cordial and going ahead.

“We have been rotating the officiating personnel this season which has helped us a lot in curbing the malpractice of Hooliganism and Violences in our league. As committee we will proceed with the rotation of Referees next season as it has proved to be a good way of dealing with the incidences of violence in our league.

“We will also continue giving out individual awards like Man of the match which we introduced this year”,. Manda explained joyfully.

Dedza Dynamos FC went away with MK2.5 million as Premier Division champions, while Extreme FC went home with K900,000 as runners up,Joseph FC from Nkonkha Mchinji received cash amounting to MK900,000 as Division one champions while Play Football Malawi received K600,000 for finishing second.

Promise Kamwendo received K90,000 and a pair of boot for being Premier Division top goal scorer with 22 goals,Philip Banda of Silver Strikers Reserve won the player of the season award and went home with MK90,000.

Chipiku Stores have been the Sponsors of Central Region Football League for almost Sixteen years, the longest Regional League Sponsor in the country.
