LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Central Region Football Association (CRFA) has secured a MK2 million Kasungu District Football League Sponsorship after twenty solid years without sponsors in the district.
Chikondi and Alinafe Families who run their businesses at Kasungu Municipality have been unveiled as the Sponsors of the league on Saturday, December 18, 2021.
The family will be sponsoring the league to the tune of MK2 million and a one year contract has been signed at a ceremony that took place at Kasungu Inn.
Speaking after being unveiled Chikondi who represented the two families hailed Kasungu District Football Committee for the good work they have been doing in previous years hence asked them to run the league in a free and fair manner saying this will motivate them to come back with another sponsorship in 2023.
Goodwell Chinjoka, Vice Chairperson for Central Region Football Association, hailed the entire committee for the efforts they are putting in place to search for Sponsors for the districts describing Kasungu Sponsorship as timely as it has been so long without Sponsors in the district.
Chinjoka further said the sponsorship is part of promises made during campaign that nine districts will have league sponsors.
“We are slowly achieving that only two districts remain including Ntcheu and Dowa. Therefore, we are appealing to Kasungu District Football Committee to run the league in a professional manner to safe guard the sponsorship.
Chinjoka has vowed to secure the Sponsorships for the remaining two districts,Ntcheu and Dowa before the end of the year 2021.
