BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Albert Lulaka, Project Coordinator for Peaceful Elections at Centre for Social Accountability and Transparency (CSAT), has emphasized the importance of the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) maintaining its independence to build trust among the people for a peaceful September 16 election.
With reports of misunderstandings in areas like Mangochi District, Lulaka stressed that promoting peaceful political participation can help resolve challenges politicians face.
He urged MEC to take a leading role in encouraging public dialogue among partners to promote peaceful elections.
