Homeland Minister Ng'oma donates to Blantyre's Naotcha survivors

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-After donating his last month salary, Minister of Homeland security Ken Zikhale Ng’oma has again provided assorted food items to Tropical Cyclone Freddy survivors worth MK1 million at Naotcha in Blantyre.

Making the donation on Thursday, April 6, 2023, Ng’oma decided to donate at Naotcha camp considering that people of this area were heavily affected by the cyclone.

He added that he will continue to support people at the camp in different ways.

The minister has since pledged to donate cattle and other food items like maize and rice at the camp next week.

“I have managed to source items to support cyclone survivors here at Naotcha and I will continue supporting them up until these people recover.

“Next week I will bring cattle, rice, maize and other things that can support people at the camp,” he said.

Ng’oma has since urged other well-wishers to identify other cyclone survivors camps where they can support.

GVH Chilobwe received the donation on behalf of the survivors at Naotcha camp and applauded Ng’oma for the humanity spirit.

Last month Ng’oma donated his monthly salary to grave diggers who prepared graves for the 28 people who died due to cyclone impact at Chilobwe
