BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Malawi’s petroleum industry has entered a new digital era following the official launch of the Puma Petroleum Retail Information System (PRIS), an integrated fuel and convenience loyalty application designed to reward customers instantly.
Unveiled in Blantyre, on Friday, February 20,2026 the innovation positions Puma Energy Malawi at the forefront of digital transformation in the country’s fuel retail sector.
The PRIS platform allows motorists and shop customers to automatically accumulate points every time they purchase fuel or selected products at participating service stations nationwide.
What sets the system apart is its instant redemption feature, enabling customers to use their earned points for fuel or in store purchases without complicated procedures.
Speaking at the launch, Managing Director Stiveria Kadangwe said the digital platform goes beyond a traditional rewards programme, describing it as a strategic tool to modernise operations and enhance efficiency across the company’s retail network.
Kadangwe highlighted that PRIS is designed to streamline transactions, improve accountability and elevate customer experience through smart technology.
The initiative reflects the company’s broader ambition to align with global retail trends, where digital loyalty systems are becoming central to customer engagement and operational excellence.
Co owned by Malawi’s conglomerate Press Corporation PLC and international energy giant PUMA Energy, the company says the rollout demonstrates confidence in Malawi’s growing digital landscape.
Press Corporation PLC Chief Executive Officer Ronald Mangani described the launch as a landmark achievement in the group’s push for innovation driven growth.
Mangani said embracing technology is critical in strengthening service delivery and ensuring efficiency within the petroleum industry.
He added that PRIS reinforces the company’s commitment to delivering tangible value to customers while maintaining high operational standards.
