NEW YORK-(MaraviPost)-Former U.S. President Donald Trump loses his first wife and the mother of his three oldest children, Ivana Trump.
The Trump family announced the news of Ivana’s passing in a statement on Friday, July 15, 2022.
“Our mother was an incredible woman, a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend,” the Trump family said in a statement.
The former president said Ivana died at her home in New York City but the cause of her death was not disclosed.
However, according to ABC news, Ivana was found unconscious and unresponsive at the bottom of a set of stairs in her apartment and police are investigating whether she fell and, if so, whether the fall contributed in any way to her death.
Ivana Trump and the former US president together had three oldest children, Donald Jr, Ivanka and Eric.
Born in Zlin as Ivana Marie Zelníčková, she grew up under communist rule in the former Czechoslovakia, now the Czech Republic.
In 1949, Ivan became a skier, ski instructor and model, before she married Donald Trump in 1977 who was a New York real estate magnate then.
The former model divorced Trump after Trump’s highly publicized affair with Marla Maples, whom he later married.
After the divorce, Ivana went launched her own lines of beauty products, clothing and jewellery.
Prior to this, she worked for years in Trump’s business empire as a senior executive before she was appointed CEO of Trump’s Castle, one of his hotel casinos in Atlantic City, where she helped design interiors for the Grand Hyatt Hotel and Trump Tower.
She also authored multiple bestselling books and created her own clothing line. During her recent interviews, she revealed that she had been on good terms with her former husband.
