LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Central Region Netball league outfits, Dyana Queens and Vanessa, are diligently preparing for the upcoming Mpico netball season.
Anthony Msendema, the Chairman, and sponsor of Dyana Queens and Vanessa netball teams, has organized a one-day preseason bonanza scheduled to take place at Bingu National Stadium on Saturday, 3rd February 2024, in alignment with the preparations.
Six teams, namely Vanessa, Dyana Queens, Yankho Super Queens, Sharp Shooters, Kalulu, and Ndaula are set to participate.
According to Msendema, the teams will be grouped into two pools of three.
The top two teams from each pool will proceed to the semifinals and final, respectively.
Msendema stated, “The objective is to provide a platform for the lesser teams in the Central Region Netball League to assess their strengths and weaknesses.
This will help them identify areas to strengthen their teams ahead of the 2024 League commencement. We aim to challenge for the CRNL title, hence the early preparations.”
In the 2023 Mpico Gateway Mall Netball League, Dyana netball team earned the Improved Team accolade after finishing in the 7th position. Its sister team, Vanessa, secured the 9th position.
