Eastern and Southern African Journalists Experience Mumbai’s Rich Culture

A group of 28 journalists from 14 Eastern and Southern African countries is currently on a familiarization visit to Mumbai, India.

The visit, which is being sponsored by the Indian government, aims to promote cultural exchange and understanding between India and the participating countries.

On the first day of their visit, the journalists explored Mumbai’s iconic landmarks, including the Mumbai Film City and the historic Gateway of India.

They were impressed by the Bollywood film industry’s ability to create jobs and promote Indian culture.

The group also visited the prestigious Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, which showcases India’s rich cultural heritage.

The journalists appreciated how India is preserving its culture and promoting tourism through such initiatives.

The visit is expected to strengthen ties between India and the participating countries, while also providing the journalists with a deeper understanding of Indian culture and its people.
