Ekas, Extreme FC register for Nyasa loans in week two

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Waliranji based side, Extreme FC and area 25 based outfit, Ekas Freight Wanderers FC, produced a superb performance in Nyasa Capital Finance Cup in second week of the final round.

Extreme FC maintained their winning ways on Saturday by defeating Kawinga FC 1-0 at Waliranji ground, the lone goal scored by the former Blue Eagles FC midfielder Emanuel Mbwenzo.

They now lead the four teams log table with 6 points after their back to back wins,last week they defeated Ekas Freight Wanderers FC 0-2 away.

Kawinga FC however are winless in two games they have played so far,they managed to get a 1-1 draw at home, Maliri ground, against St Gabriel Medicals FC last week.

Ekas Freight Wanderers FC revived their chances of winning the cup following their away 1-2 win to St Gabriel Medicals FC at Namitondo Ground, Namitete.

The game was however stopped at 12th minute in the first half due to heavy downpour. The host, St Gabriel Medicals, scored through Yohane Kamwaza in the 36th minute in the first half and Ekas Freight Wanderers FC equalized through Emanuel Nyakupeta four minutes later at 40th minute after defensive error by the host.

Nyakupeta scored the second goal for Ekas Freight Wanderers FC at 55th minute after a poor marking from St Gabriel Medicals FC.

Martin Mthetho Mkamanga St Gabriel Medicals FC coach accepted the defeat saying they will plan well for their next match to get much needed points.

He said their counterpart utilized the chances they created and vowed to start winning the games.

Her counterpart Esther Chirwa was delighted with the win over in form St Gabriel Medicals FC.

“I am happy for the win,after that loss last week over Extreme FC,we had to recover hence let me thank the boys for the win today,We will prepare well against Kawinga FC”, Chirwa said.

Extreme FC lead the table with 6 points,seconded by Ekas Freight Wanderers FC who have 3 points while Kawinga FC are on third position with St Gabriel Medicals FC coming fourth.

So far 8 goals have been scored in the cup in this final round.

The winner of the Nyasa Capital Finance Cup in the Central Region will get MK1.5 million with the second place walking home with MK600,000, third placed will get MK250,000 and fourth MK150,000.
