Elite Real Estate Limited over the weekend made a compassionate donation of food items to the mothers at Kamuzu Central Hospital’s Ethel Mutharika Maternity Wing in Lilongwe.
The donation was made as part of this year’s Mother’s Day, which is set to be commemorated on October 15, 2023,
Speaking after making the donation, Malumbo Mhango, the Chief Executive Officer of Elite Real Estate Limited, expressed the company’s deep appreciation for the tireless efforts of mothers in nurturing and raising children.
He highlighted the importance of acknowledging their invaluable contributions to society.
“As you are aware, this is the month when we honor and celebrate mothers. Our aim was to demonstrate that the community stands with them.
“We hope that this small gesture will bring honour and hope into their lives, showing that we are with them in their journey as mothers,” said Mhango.
Violet Bandawe, Principal Nursing Officer at Kamuzu Central Hospital, extended her gratitude to Elite Real Estate Limited for their compassionate act.
She emphasized the significance of this donation in the context of Kamuzu Central Hospital’s role as a referral facility that serves women from various regions and healthcare facilities.
“Kamuzu Central Hospital receives women from different facilities, both within the central region and even from the northern region. Many of these women come from faraway places, and their relatives cannot easily visit them.
“They have unique needs during their stay at this hospital. Elite Real Estate’s gesture of kindness towards these women is deeply appreciated,” said Bandawe.
Deborah Mbewe, speaking on behalf of the mothers at the hospital, conveyed their gratitude to Elite Real Estate Limited for their generous donation.
She said the donation will improve their lives.
Mother’s Day is an annual celebration honoring mothers and maternal figures, expressing love, gratitude, and appreciation for their nurturing role in families.
