LILONGWE (MaraviPost)–Death has been announced of Ruth Tembo, wife to former President of the main opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP), John Tembo.
Mrs. Ruth Tembo, who was from Lesotho, died on Monday at city centre clinic in Malawi’s capital – Lilongwe after a short illness.
In an interview with the local media, Mr Morgan Tembo speaking on behalf of the bereaved family said the burial arrangements will be announced later.
Meanwhile, Malawi Congress Party (MCP) of which Mr. Tembo was once President, has expressed concern over the development and has since communicated that following the family programme arrangements for the funeral, the Party will be fully available.
She is survived by Husband John Tembo popularly known as JZU in Malawi circles and three children Dudu, Owen, and John.
