President Lazarus Chakwera’s Malawi Congress Party (MCP) is the party behind the resurrection of 50+1 story debate on Malawi media .
This comes after seeing the crippled future of the Tonse alliance, MCP plan B is kill 50+1. Many think that it’s opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) advancing the agenda but according to my observation, MCP is behind it.
MCP has learnt a lot especially the disadvantage of alliance that comes due to 50+1. As of now, the party’s plan is to strengthen its grassroots.
It will hook political big fish in the north, south and east. Apart from that, in the central region, we shall have many voters than other regions.
The party decision is to pull itself apart from UTM as we are close to 2025 elections. Screenshot this post. To other side, DPP is and will be happy with MCP decision to kill 50+1.
DPP legal experts will be in support to the development. On other side, and in order to blind its partners and Malawians, MCP will sponsor a group of legal experts to fight for its decision.
If the matter goes to parliament, independent, DPP and UDF wil be in support to the proposal. While MCP’s Members of Parliament (MPs_ will play a hide and seek.
UTM will vehemently oppose it but at the end, the bill shall pass. As of now, MCP plan is to persuade DPP to be on forefront supporting the deal while it is behind.
Malawians will think DPP is behind as it likes nepotism, tribalism. And to block DPP when the deal has been endorsed, the North, central and many who are against the blue camp will vote for MCP.
The briefcase parties will have no choice but to endorse MCP. Soon, you will see MCP media team and blind Tonse alliance media team attacking DPP on the same.
After seeing the story on today’s nation paper, some MCP were against it but you will see a change of tone soon. Some DPP media team because they want to be back in govt grabbed the news with a smile, without knowing it was a trap.
When the first female online political pundit speak, only the wise listen.
If you don’t listen, you are not wise. I am the political strategist and I know the moves.
