Lilongwe, October 17, 2015 (MaraviPost) The Malawi main opposition party led by Lazarus Chakwera and loose tongue Jessie Kabwila have been calling for him to tender his resignation claiming his leadership is leading the country nowhere.
According to Statehouse, President Arthur Peter Mutharika will on November 6 perform the State opening of the 46th Session of Parliament at Parliament Building in Lilongwe.
The Malawi President will be addressing those who have belittled his Presidency and the expectations are that he will take this opportunity to address The MCP leadership directly and the course he is undertaking to address the problems affecting the country.
According to a press release from the Malawi Parliament signed by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Richard Msowoya, the function will start at 10:00 in the morning.
“The meeting will run up to 4th December, 2015 and all Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers and Honourable Members of Parliament are summoned to attend the meeting in the Parliament Chamber in Lilongwe until the adjournment sine die,” reads the statement in part.
The office of the Speaker is advising all guests to be seated by 8:30 in the morning in the Parliament Chamber in Lilongwe.
It is also expected that the MCP will have a larger audience to address their concerns and if they have the gumption, it is expected they will address the issues head-on and once again call for an impeachment.
