LONDON-(MaraviPost)-Former host of British reality show “Love Island”, Caroline Flack, 40, has been found dead on Saturday, February 15, 2020 in her east London apartment.
A family lawyer confirmed the tragedy with the media.
The former presenter has been discovered dead in her London flat weeks before she was due to go on trial accused of assaulting her boyfriend.
As quoted by CNN, the family in a statement said: “We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today, the 15th of February.
“We would ask that the press respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time and we would ask they make no attempt to contact us and/or photograph us”.
Flack hosted the dating series from its inception in 2015 until last December when his ex boyfriend pressed charges against her after an incident at her home that left her in need of hospital treatment after accidentally cutting herself on broken glass.
She was replaced as host a few days after her arrest and had been out on bail awaiting trial that was scheduled for March 4, 2020.
As reported by Mirror news, Flack had announced on Thursday before her demise that she wanted to break the silence on recent reports about her personal life while waiting for her trial for common assault.
Her former fiancé Andrew Brady, who claimed he would have died if he remained in their relationship was seen on valentine’s day trying to reach out to her by sending her a love message which she didn’t reply as she was banned from contacting him amid court case.
Before her death, Caroline was reportedly showing signs of depression as a result of critics from different people on social media.
Meanwhile, her fans have criticized various media houses for contributing to her death and her have encouraged people to be mindful of how their words can impact other’s lives, especially in a world when judgments are so quickly made and expressed on social media.
