MZUZU-(MaraviPost)-A grouping of people calling of returnees and detainees on Friday, June 5, 2020 demanded the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) leadership to push for their compensation from government.
Addressing the news conference the grouping quested MCP to tell the nation how Aaron Gadama, Mkwapatira and others were killed rather than doing their campaign of just mentioning dead people.
“MCP is in parliament but they don’t talk about this issue of compasating us so we are not happy with this development.
“Who ever leads MCP will always carry this burden,, we don’t hate the party but we want them to help us,”said the chairperson for the returnees and detainees Charles Mwenifumbo.
Vice chairperson Asani Sanudi adds, “We tend to wonder because now we are now in the campaign period but not even one party is mentioning about compensating us,” we ar …..
” We don’t hate MCP but we are just wondering what they say during their rallies, saying that they are here to build a new Malawi yet they don’t talk about them,he added.
Sanudi said the grouping will not stop mentioning MCP because they are the ones behind their troubles.
